Before choosing the right property for yourself you consider various factors, one of the most important being location, and transport connections near your area. For that reason, I decided to travel on the tube/ overground / Thameslink and visited every single station in the North West London area, which we cover and photographed stations from inside and outside. What I came to realise is that every station has its own vibe, own piece of architecture and history. Some stations are deliberately designed in a certain way by the same architect such as Kilburn Park and Maida Vale. Others are mainly focusing on function and simplicity like Neasden and Finchley Road. Some have various exits leading on to quiet residential streets or green leafy surroundings like Dollis Hill, while others have flowers in the windows like Queens Park. My most recent discovery is Harlesden station, at certain times in the mornings you are be able to smell freshly baked goods throughout the entire platform, which makes the start to your day really pleasant.
Most of the stations are open air in that part of the city (except Maida Vale, Warwick Avenue and Swiss Cottage) which makes it enjoyable and fun to travel while watching the outside world pass by through the windows. Each station has its own demographic, certain character of people getting on and off the trains. I utterly enjoyed guessing who is going to get off at which station, of course I have never got it right. :)
